Beautiful baby girl Pia came for her newborn photography session back in May. I absolutely love the name Pia and it really seemed to suite her. She had the most perfect hair and such an amazing skin tone. Pia looked amazing in everything that we did. To keep everything very soft and neutral, we used creams, beige, and light blush for Pia’s newborn session. Not wanting to cover up her beautiful hair too much, we put a lot of simple headbands on Pia. She was a great little model, and loved to be wrapped up – as most newborns do. As I do for most sessions, we started with family poses. Pia looked so small curled up in her mama’s arms. I love family poses as they show how tiny baby’s are. They don’t fit like that in their parents arms for long as they grow so fast! After we finished the family photos, we moved on to the poses on the beanbag. Pia didn’t seem to like these as much so we wrapped her up nice and snug! I love doing the potato sack pose because it’s such a versatile wrap. This allows for multiple setups without having to disturb baby. We did a beautiful cream flokati rug which looked great with Pia’s skin tone. And of course we had to use a delicate little bow to show off her gorgeous hair! Lastly we were able to sneak in a few more beanbag poses. I love these simple setups as the focus is just on baby! These are some of my favorites from Pia’s newborn session.
