Gemma | Calgary Newborn Photographer

As a newborn photographer, I feel extremely honored to be able to capture each baby’s first moments and their ‘fresh’ little details. Little Gemma’s newborn session was very special to me because of the distance her family came. The Bishops came all the way down from Athabasca to get photos of Gemma! That is a long car ride – especially with a 2 year old and a newborn. I actually knew Michelle from a mom’s group we were both in when we were both expecting back in 2013. Michelle is such an amazing mom. Not only is she raising these two gorgeous little girls, she actually runs a clothing store! You definitely need to check it out (Elle’s Closet).
We did Gemma’s studio newborn session when she was just 17 days new. She was such a little rock star! Gemma slept so well and was so easy to pose. Michelle let me choose the colors and setups that we did, so I picked some beautiful neutrals. One of my favorite setups that we did of baby Gemma was of her on a cream flokati rug with an angelic halo of babies breath. Near the end of the session, we decided to add some color in and posed Gemma in a beautiful dark purple setup. I am so glad that we were able to get these beautiful images for the Bishops as they came so far. Here are just a few of my favorites from Gemma’s newborn session in Calgary.
