Recently I was asked by Greater than Gatsby to review their editing presets for newborn images. Almost everyone in the ‘newborn photography world’ knows who they are and probably owns at least one of their sets – I know I do! Greater than Gatsby is synonymous with newborn editing. I have used their newborn editing actions almost since the beginning of my career and they are nothing short of amazing. So when I was asked to write a blog review of the presets, I was over the moon! I really wanted to take my time and make sure I really gave these presets the review they deserve. I did an example of a few babies with different skin tones to really see what these presets can do. I love how easy it is so get the correct white balance. Prior to testing these presets, I actually did not know that you could layer them – which makes it even easier to get exactly the look you want. Within this set, you have the ability to adjust exposure, white balance, and then a finishing preset. There are also some amazing brush tools to edit newborn skin directly in adobe camera raw. You can enhance lashes, brighten skin, add rosy cheeks, smooth baby skin, just to name a few!
These are a few examples of edits that I did using the newborn presets from Greater than Gatsby. For those of you that don’t know, SOOC is straight out of camera, and SOOR is straight out of raw – after using the presets.

After reviewing these presets from Greater than Gatsby, I would highly recommend them. There are different presets for all styles of editing, which makes them very versatile.
