Baby Girl Mackenzie | Calgary Infant Photographer

One of the most exciting things about being an infant photographer, is when a family comes back with their second baby for newborn photos. I photographed big sister Brooklyn’s milestone sessions about three years earlier and I was thrilled when Sarah messaged me about photographing their new baby girl, Mackenzie. Sarah loved all of the cute girly props I had before and I was so excited to show her all of the new beautiful props I have collected in the three years since I had seen them.

For Mackenzie’s session we used some beautiful soft pinks, creams, beige’s, and wine colors. We started with family and sibling poses and big sister Brooklyn was so sweet and listened so well! We were able to get so many adorable poses and setups for Mackenzie’s infant photography session as she was so sleepy and easygoing. One of my favorite images from her session is of baby Mackenzie on a pink backdrop with a heart-melting smile! Smiles in infant photography are like hitting the jackpot! Something I have been adding recently to infant sessions, is ‘awake’ images. These are some of my favorite and I honestly wish I had them of my own kids. I love how it is just about your baby and their expressions. This is what you are going to remember them like – them looking up at you! Whether it’s the goofy expressions, or sweet smiles.
