Baby Girl Kiara | Infant Portraits Calgary

I have had some of the most beautiful infants in the studio recently. Every baby had the most amazing hair – and sweet little Kiara had the best! When her dad inquired, he asked if we could incorporate florals into Kiara’s session. I love being able to personalize sessions for families, and so I added a few little touches of florals into a couple of the setups.

The morning of Kiara’s session, she arrived at my portrait studio and I was blown away by her amazing head of hair! As an infant photographer, it really is rare to have a baby with so much hair. We started off her session with a very subtle cream floral lace fabric with the pose that is known as ‘froggy’. The froggy pose is one of my two most requested infant poses and honestly one of my favorites. I love how it frames their beautiful faces! Kiara’s parents requested that we do more covered up poses so I used some simple fabrics draped over her. For another touch of florals, I used a pretty cream backdrop with flowers and wrapped Kiara up in a cream coordinating fabric. My other pose that is the most requested is baby with a bear. Kiara looked so perfect in the cream bear setup that we did. To add one last touch of florals, I posed Kiara in a simple bucket setup where I wrapped the bucket in floral fabric. Kiara even gave us one heart melting smile! Lastly we did what is known as ‘baby mugshots’. I really love that this makes it just about them and their funny expressions. Kiara was such a good sleeper for most of the session and we were able to get some adorable images! I have many favorites from her session, and these are some of them.
