Jessica, Brandon, and Sawyer Maternity Session | Calgary Maternity Photographer

In the past year I have noticed a lot of expectant couples choosing not to find out the gender of their baby. It can be hard to wait the entire pregnancy without knowing if you are having a boy or girl, but it’s definitely worth the surprise at the end. I had the honor of being Jessica and Brandon’s maternity photographer earlier this year. I love being able to meet a family before the birth of their baby, and be a part of the anticipation in waiting to meet their new little one. They already had a beautiful girl named Sawyer, and the gender of their second baby was a surprise. Jessica mentioned that her pregnancies were different this time than with Sawyer, so they were thinking it was a boy.
I photographed Jessica and Brandon’s maternity session in Fish Creek Park. Jessica looked absolutely beautiful and had the most perfect baby bump! For the last part of their session, Jessica wore a gorgeous red dress that accentuated her bump. The lighting towards the end of the session was amazing. Sometimes sessions with toddlers can be hard to do in the evening because of bedtimes, but it’s completely worth the effort to get those glowing images. These last moments as a family of three are so precious and important to document. The photos of Jessica and her sweet girl, Sawyer, are some of my favorites from their maternity session. Not only was the lighting perfect, but Sawyer was super snugly with her mom. You can see the love between them, which makes my heart melt! These are some of my favorite images from Jessica and Brandon’s maternity session.
