Langley Family | Calgary Family Photographer

During the beautiful spring, summer and fall months in Calgary, I love to be able to photograph families outdoors. When photographing little kids, I think the best way to get those genuine smiles and natural moments is for them to be playing outside and having fun. It is much more fun and relaxing for everyone. Parents can just focus on playing with their kids and these are the moments they are going to want to look back on; picking flowers, exploring, dancing, running, looking for bugs, etc. 

Recently I photographed a fellow Calgary newborn photography, Kathryn, and her beautiful family. I have known Kathryn for a couple of years now, and she is such a sweet and genuine person. We went to my favorite location where the light and scenery was breathtaking. Some of my favorite images from their session are where they are just playing and snuggling with their little boy. One year old Spencer was definitely more interested in exploring than anything else. With any one year old, it is hard to hold their attention for very long, so we made sure to make things fun with lots of tickles, swinging, and playing. It was an honor to be able to photograph Kathryn’s beautiful family. These are some of my favorite moments from their family session in Calgary this summer.
