Something near and dear to me is AARCS – Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society. Before focusing on exclusively babies, I was a pet photographer. I started around 8 years ago. I was contacted by someone in the organization looking for Calgary photographers to photograph the adoptable animals to improve their chances of finding them forever homes. We even fostered a number of dogs – which was honestly an amazing experience. Being able to help these incredible animals was so rewarding. Through AARCS I have met some of the most amazing, selfless people who are just trying to make a difference in these animals’ lives. I have not been able to do much at all since my son was born, but recently I took on a couple of adorable puppies. Larimar and Amethyst are two very sweet, and very energetic pups! They just wanted to explore everything in my studio and give lots of puppy kisses! Call me crazy, but I actually love puppy breath. These are some of the images that I took of these pups and I hope it helps them to find them a forever home. They will be available for adoption this week, so if you are interested in adopting a puppy make sure to keep an eye on the AARCS website to see their available animals.
